I am playing this lonely world with a mage. solo is just sad. maybe we could have some henchmen (and henchwomen) to hire on as meat shields as the player base seems fairly low.
on a side note: my familiar ...a pixie from the wood... Acorn, well she has learned to pick locks for me. A little too anxious is she to help, and everytime I touch a locked object she jumps in to unlock it. I betcha she will fly in to every trap I spot too, AND THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE HER STOP !!! please please add some code for the familiars that allow us more options... Its already on the vault somewhere, i've used it before, WOW i need to play more but it is tough as a solo mage. those few options would help me tremendously. thanks for listening.

I hadn't thought of adding in any companions, not because I dont want to, I just dont have any good ideas for character development with them.
unless your just talkin meatshields with no personality?
unless you wanted to pitch in and help? maybe give up one of your own characters to be one? let me know

also about the familiars, you wouldnt happen to know of a name or a link I could look into what you suggested

Take a look at this for henchmen. You could incorporate the construction of golems instead of people henchies.

I will look into this for you, I am currently testing a beta-build with some improved familiar handling and commanding.
also I am working on a quest system that will allow you to create an iron golem to use as a henchman. so that should be helpful I hope.
thanks for the link Adlash.
