Some new info----

First off, sorry all, I was on vacation and wasnt able to post due to a computer malfunction..
so sorry if some of you were left without responses for the last 2 weeks.

so I have noticed some wierdness with some of the data-writes on this server and it seems that with the Bioware Master Aunthentication system down some of my scripts/and includes are not firing correctly alot of the time due to this.
some scripts used CD key authentication as a sort of passkey token, the problem now is when you connect 'sometimes' it fires correctly, sometimes it fires with a 'blank' token...
which inevitably leads to some issues

so far I have found
Journals
Mail system(s)
and some quest related scripts that use this feature. I am currently overhauling the scripts to remove and build a token based on PlayerName+PCName. I could wait to see if they re-build the authentication server as has been stated by Bioware (but I am not holding my breath for anytime soon) so I opted to trudge ahead and try and fix it myself with some help from other admins on other popular servers that seem to have similar issues.

This may not be the appropriate place for this, but since you were talking
about hinky quests due to the "Master Server" problem I've noticed the
following things with quests:

The Hive Queen - xp only for leader (or maybe speaker)
Disease of the Entwoods - on completion only takes bottle from leader, so a secondary
party member can have one in his inventory forever (flagged undroppable I think)
The Vintage Caper - xp for leader only
Witches of Fellhurst - xp for speaker only
A Bump in the Night - xp for speaker only

Some of those have been going on forever (hive queen, entwoods) others
I don't really know.

appropriate or not, its best to get those out there for me to reference.

the XP thing should be easy enough to fix as well as the getitem from party not just lasttalkedtoby...

I went through ALL quests and fixed any/all issues with Giving out XP and gold. Now ALL party members should equally share the XP and Gold ALTHOUGH the killing blow of any creature (BOSS) yields a extra XP bonus
also I have fixed ALL journal entries to allow ALL party members to have their own journal updated as well.

I realize some of these bugs were really old...sorry about that
