Server Updates:: Unless I'm weeetarded the loot system tweaks are completed. Bean found a couple of SRD wands... I fixed those too. Fixed the beehive, which magically broke at some point, dunno when. Fixed Hodkins not looking at the right quest state. Fix Castra Rackham's busted gate. More to come cuz I'm like unemployed and with out a life! WOOOHOO! I love winter shut downs!

Troubleshooting/debugging the loot issue and I'm utilitizing NWNx to generate the information needed, so I can not do this off line. I will be rebooting the server frequently, until I figger out what the hell is going on.
Might wanna go find something else to do until I have completed this test.

Last round of information gathering commencing now. After I get what I need, the server will go back online with no further interruptions, until I have reached a conclusion and have an update/fix ready.

Lost power for no apparent reason for about 6 hrs today... The server is back online.

I am back to work for the next couple of days, but I want y'all to know that I have solved one of the major riddles that has been plaguing me since I first put the CAP online... and unless y'all are seeing something I am not, my loot system is completed and balanced. This was a real b*tch lemme tell ya, took me some real hair pulling, brain slamming, teeth clenching, desk top smashing days to get this figgered right.
The module has not been entirely neglected whilst I trounce this monster, but it certainly has suffered from a lack of new content and for those of you who have stuck with me, I can not tell you how much I appreciate it and I won't forget it.
With the monster loot issue resolved, I can now move on to better things.

Some changes around here... Nice color scheme eh? Well it seems someone around the Forummotion.com wasn't paying their bills and well, it broke our background, this new appearance is a little brighter...

Server updated. The bugs reported by Obsidian have been addressed...
The quests in and around the church mine are partially completed, the first two parts of it are in, but yeh, its not finished.

As it has been rather quiet around here - Obsidian, you've been a real champ - I am taking the CAP off line for a few. I want to complete the quests that are unfinished, polish up some maps, finish other maps off and generally improve things. I believe the best and most exacting way for me to do this is to take it down. My methodology for quest development has been evolving lately and the new tools I built for myself to lay out story quests, generate quests on the fly and even a random quest generator (with the superlative help of Vuldrick) are really coming together and well, it caused me to re-evaluate the quests as they are.
It has always been my intention to avoid the cliches of NWN PWs - go get me X of item Y, go kill Z and claim A and my efforts I believe are best typified in the Suspected Cult Activity quest. Unfortunately, sometimes I get an idea for a quest - such as the Brew Master's investigations into the theft of his shipments - and before I've got it all down in the mod, I lose the idea that inspired the quests initial inception. Its a dreadful habit, I know and it most certainly must be a point of frustration for you, my dear citizens.
Anyhoo. I am back to work, my holidays were cut short without notice and in typical fashion my boss did not ask me if I wanted to come back to work, he just assumed... So I can not say exactly when I will be ready for a re-launch, but I will certainly have a far better idea by this weekend. I am so NOT working six days a week in the New Year - which I did for much of last year - I want CAP out of beta, open to the world and populated by as many Adlashs, Beansidhes, Obsidians, Sap-er-however-you-spell-its, Elkors and Ajaxs as my bandwidth can handle. To this end, I must now close the open beta and hunker down, don my Salient Cap of Creation and get to work without the distractions of day to day maintenance.
If you want to kick around the CAP, lemme know and I can put the server up. For the nunce, I would like to thank you all for you participation in the beta tests and look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
