Area development continues...
Removed a couple of bad potions. If you have a potion with BadStrRef as its spell, ditch it. Updated Alchemy to reflect these changes. The Trades book, Alchemy has been editted as well, but not updated in the mod... Too much time has been wasted today already with updating instances...
Added some great new items from our community member Sharona Curves, ffbj and a couple of others.
Updated the Optional Downloads Thread to include an updated version of Lord of Worm's creature override and wowzers man... All the re-textures look amazing. Grab it.
Updated a couple of the herbs that were broken during the critical rebuild - Thanks to Adlash for his hard work in finding these.
Added a couple of more merchants and shops to the markets... This of course can be assumed in the first entry in this update... I'm always adding new stuff...
Some code work done... A few more scripted items, such as the Pocket Merchant, Cloak of the Bat and Mist Form... These are rare drops, so best of luck in finding them.
With some of you now reaching the point where your Lives are really at stake, I added a couple more instances of the ever so mythical plant - Ambrosia, which when consumed will award you with an additional life.
Added a new mythical plant to our menagerie - Arctus Mandibus, which when taken will gain you one entire level and you thought Ambrosia was hard to find...

Fixed the Alchemist quests. They weren't really broken, I just forgot to upload the rest of the quest.
I've rewritten some of the code, regarding your character's Lives. Now after several various attempts to get the items to play nice, I'm swapping over to a persistent value which is easier to deal with and more efficient. To see how many lives you have left, check out you Statistics in your PCI. I was quite through in this so Elixer of Life and everything else has been scanned and verified. This *crosses fingers* should go off with out a hitch.
Did some other stuff too, but y'all will need to play to figger that out.
These changes will take effect on the next server reload... Which will happen the second the mod is empty... Which just now, it ain't.
Game on.

43 hrs continuous operation and no major fumbles, besides an invasion of Gruumsh goons, I'd say that went well. Thanks a lot folk. The server has been rebooted and I have my fingers crossed for this all to go a bit smoother from here on in.
A word on the SRD debug project - I have been slogging through each merchant, critter and unique treasure chest to kill this frakkin' thing. Wish I had realized its pervasiveness and dealt with it before I took CAP live... but can't go dwelling in the past. If you find an item with a 'BadStrRef' as its property, ditch it. Don't keep them, please.

Some updates in this. I fixed the tailoring, which was incorrectly asking for 10 thread to a bolt of fabric. Its now 5, as it was meant to be. Plus some additional scripts were SAV'd, some objects looked at and corrected. Updated some instances... The SRD bug hunt continues...
Today I'm going to build and play. During the wee hours here, I may also be dl'ing some new tunes, so there could be some chop. It won't last very long... The chop I mean.

Bunch of scripts updated today. Fixed the pets... they shouldn't try and eat you any more. Fixed the contracts completed statistic to display correctly, essence weapons will acquire xp more accurately - OnHitCastSpell properties are kinda sketchy at the best of times, so if you're counting blows, you figures and the xp on the weapon prolly won't jive exactly. Um... Did a bunch of stuff, started banging away on a number of side projects I've had on a slow boil for a while - made a little head way in regards to cooking, and some other subsystems. Worked on some areas, longing for the day when its all I do... Killed some more of the SRD, but that hunt will take some time... Its a hideous beast.
As always, there's more to come... Long live it and game on.

Server back online. Updates this time 'round are numerous. Many areas have been brushed up, a few new maps have been added... scripting changes, streamlining and tweaks. The SRD squarshing continues... Lots of little things have been polished, some you wouldn't even notice unless you were me...More to come and in the meantime

With all the frakkin' around with the factions of late, I had a brain riot this morning.
I've added a script for TESTING. To really bring home the tensions between the factions, I've scripted in something to ensure you'll not mistake what side your on. This is a only a test... So don't panic.
Kopa Loei and Nafandi character should be automatically hostile to everyone else and everyone else should be hostile to the Kopa Loei and Nafandi. Everyone, that is except Folk who are the moderators. This doesn't mean that we're turning into a PvP brawler... I'm curious to see if it works. That is all.
In other news... Nearly completed the Hyola Caverns which is a massive mid level event area for y'all to plunder. Tricks and traps are above averagely high in this one, so bring lots of supplies, you will prolly be down there for a good long while. *EDIT* Not quite done this ... need to have a nap now... Will be live... later.
Activated the Gallery for y'all to post screen shots or what have you. Knock yourselves out, post what ever you want. Myself, I put up a pic of me, so y'all can see with whom you are dealing.

Doing some uploading to complete the Custom Content list. Won't take long, but could create some chop server-side.
As of the next server reset I have updated canteen functionality. Fixed the Pine Trees and Belladonna. Area polishing continues... Be careful in the South Woods after dark, ran into a couple of ork there last night... Some new areas to tell you about... the Hyola caverns are an expansive 7 map mid-level dungeon, fraught with danger and traps. There arn't any quests running into this area yet, but they're on the boil. Looking at stripping down cooking to its essentials to get it in play. Many things are on the go and are slated for live play... Hopefully I get some of them finished and tested and unleash them on y'all as soon as I can.
Thanks to Angelwings, our website is gonna get even purdier, she has crafted us a whole new set of buttons and has spoken on a new background. Once I've had the chance, you will see some improvements around here as well.

Hak Content uploads completed and I pray that y'all will not have any further problems with them. No changes were made to the content, so this really only matters to new citizens of the CAP.

Lots of code work done today. The xp scripts have been tweaked, as have the loot tables - prolly won't be finding nearly as many bardic songs anymore.
I've also interviewed and hired on another DM - Ajax, whose resume is long, sorted and something to be proud of. Welcome to it, Ajax and good luck!
The weather is really bad atm... Dunno what the heck is going on... Scared to look outside.

Taking the server offline for a few hours... Let it rest. Had a series of crashes today... Not very pleasant, lemme tell ya. I'll put the mod back online just before I camp out for the evening.

Some script work done today - Fixed an issue with the PvP xp system as it was not differentiating between PCs and DM possessed characters. Your PvP stats are wrong and will display wrong until the database is wiped... Which I'm rather disinclined to do atm.
A few new scripted items, I should let you know about will appear in the markets.
Cotton Bandages: These will heal disease.
Silk Bandages: These will raise a dead character back to life.
The Heal DCs are quite high, but I'm sure you'll manage. I'll let you know when these have been incorporated into Alchemy.
DMs a special note here, I am shopping around for a better toolset than the DMFI as I disabled that system when I got it in my head to rework languages to use the OnChat event instead of an invisible listener and allow for colorized chat text. I looked at the most recent version of the DMFI (1.09) and ... well, they added a bunch of bloat to it and reworking it to fit into the CAP really doesn't appeal to me at the moment. I'm thinking SIMTools. This is an extremely robust system and so far from what I've read I like it. But it won't be an immediate implementation, but I will certainly have something more on this end by Friday.

Some scripting updates. A little tweak there, little tweak way over there... 10 new potions have joined our ranks and have been included into the shops. These - like the new bandages - have not been incorperated into Alchemy yet, but soon.
I think I finally have cooking whipped into a state where its almost ready for you guys... I know having to buy all your food is a pain... but ya know, just a little while longer.
DMFI has been reinitialized. PC Dice and DM tools are now fully operational.
Something to look forward to - I am going to improve upon pets, horses and pack animals by allowing you a greater freedom of command - especially when we're talking about Pets. Tell them to "Scout Ahead", that sort of thing. Gonna give your companions a greater henchie feeling to them.
The SRD bug hunt is closed in so far as I can see... I know I prolly missed some, somewhere but IF you find any items with the BadStrRef as it ability, post where you found it in the Bug Reports forum and I will remove them.
